# Getting Started

> Getting Started — TypoTonic (EXT:tonic) documentation.

Follow these steps to create your first record type with TypoTonic:

1. Create the fields your record type needs.
2. Create a Datatype and assign the fields to it.
3. Create records.
4. Use the Display Records plugin to show the records on the frontend.
