Short answers to the questions customers ask us most. Each answer links the page with the full steps. ## Licenses, trials and installation ### Is there a free trial? Yes. Every premium product has a 30-day free trial. It is activated exactly like a paid license. See [Generating a License Key](/en/latest/en/latest/License/GenerateLicenseKey/Index). ### Can I install on a staging site first? Yes. Set it up on staging, then move the license to production with the deactivate and reactivate flow. Staging, development and local installs are free and never count towards your license. Yes. Free extensions use the standard Composer command. Premium products come from the private T3Planet Composer repository, with access after purchase. See [License Activation](/en/latest/en/latest/License/LicenseActivation/Index#install-via-composer). ### Where do I update premium products? In the T3Planet Shop module in your TYPO3 backend, or with Composer. Premium versions are not updated from the TER. See [Update Version](/en/latest/en/latest/License/UpdateVersion/Index). ### Can I use one product on several domains? Yes. Only production domains count, and licenses are available for more than one production domain. Prices are on the product page; for other domain counts, contact us. ### Are third-party extensions compatible? Generally yes. If there is a conflict, we investigate it, but compatibility with third-party extensions cannot be guaranteed. Take a backup before installing. ### Do I need AI Foundation, and does it need a license key? AI Foundation is the free, open-source base of all T3Planet AI extensions. It needs no license key. See [AI Foundation installation](/en/latest/en/latest/ExtNsT3AF/Installation/Index). ## Support ### How does support work? Support for one year is included with the annual license. Open a ticket at [t3planet.de/support](https://t3planet.de/support). We reply within one business day, Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00 CEST. Renew your license to keep support. For free products, support is a paid service. ### Are there setup or installation costs after purchase? No hidden costs. Template setup, extension installation and customization are optional services, listed on our website. ## AI Credits ### Do I have to use AI Credits? No. AI Credits is an optional add-on. Your own API keys stay the default, and you lose nothing by ignoring credits. ### Do credits expire? Plan credits refresh each billing period and do not roll over. Pack credits stay valid until 31 December of the third year after purchase. ### Do credits work across all my extensions and sites? Yes. One balance covers every AI Universe extension, every custom extension built on AI Foundation and every license on your account, on development, staging, local and production. ### Do credits replace a license? No. Credits pay for AI usage only. A premium extension still needs its own license. ### What happens at zero balance? The feature pauses and offers a top-up in the backend. There is no automatic recharge and no bill at the end of the period: you only spend what you have already paid. ### Can I see what I spent credits on? Yes. Every operation is itemised in the usage log with its credit cost and the site it came from. ### Can I get a refund on unused credits? Credits are non-refundable, with one exception: a full refund within 30 days if nothing has been spent from that purchase.
