Adjust AI settings based on your project needs.

AI Chat

AI Chat is a built-in assistant for writing and editing in CKEditor. You can ask it to create text, improve text, summarize content, or suggest changes.

Main points:

  • It works with the current document context.

  • It can suggest edits you can apply, reject, or convert to Track Changes suggestions.

  • It supports brainstorming and first drafts.

  • You can choose a model in the chat panel.

  • You can start a new chat to switch models.

  • You can enable Web search (live online information) and Reasoning (stronger problem solving) when supported.

  • You can add context from URLs or files.

  • Chat history lets you reopen, rename, or delete conversations.

To enable AI Chat, load the AIChat plugin.

AI Review

AI Review checks content for grammar, style, tone, and clarity. It shows suggestions directly in the editor. Users can review, accept, or reject each suggestion.

To enable it, load the AIReviewMode plugin.

AI Quick Actions

AI Quick Actions provide one-click AI actions for selected text. They are useful for fast editing and repetitive tasks.

To enable this feature, load the AIQuickActions plugin and add aiQuickActions to a toolbar.

Action behavior:

  • Some actions open the Chat panel.

  • Some actions open a popup with a direct suggestion.

  • Users can accept, reject, or re-run suggestions.

You can customize Quick Actions:

  • Add custom actions

  • Remove default actions

  • Reorder categories
