Installation
Can I install T3 Karma on an existing website?
We recommend a new, empty TYPO3 instance. The installation creates pages, content elements and settings, and on a site with existing data it can overwrite or remove content. If you install on an existing site, back up files and database first. See Installation. Can I set it up on a staging site first?
Yes. Development, staging and local domains are free and do not count towards your license. You add and change them yourself, see Register and Manage Domains.Which TYPO3 versions does T3 Karma support?
The current and the previous TYPO3 LTS. Moving from v13 to v14: Pre-Upgrade Guide.Settings and updates
Where do I change the logo, footer, colours and brand name?
These are theme settings, not content elements. You find them in the theme options, see Theme Options. Will a theme update overwrite my settings?
No. Your theme settings are stored in your site, not in the theme files, so a theme update keeps them. Before go-live
Which demo content should I replace before going live?
The template ships with demo values that stay until you replace them. Check:- Social sharing text and image (Open Graph and Twitter): the preview in Google, WhatsApp and LinkedIn.
- Social media links in the header and footer.
- Home screen app title (
apple-mobile-web-app-title). - Logos in notification emails: move them to
fileadminand update the email template. - Copyright year in the footer.
Troubleshooting
The table tools in the editor or my custom styles disappeared
An old version of the license extension is still installed. Update the T3Planet Shop module (EXT:ns_license) to the current version, then check that the update applied. See Update Version.
