AI Search gives your website a search box that answers questions. Visitors type a question in their own words and get a short, clear answer from your own website content, with links to the pages it comes from. Use it when visitors struggle to find information with a normal search, for example on large websites, help pages or product catalogues.

• Ask in normal words – visitors type a question, not just keywords.
• Answers from your content – the AI only uses the pages, PDFs and texts you choose.

• Data sources – choose the content the AI may use (pages, sitemap, PDFs, questions and answers, text).
• Source groups – choose which content is used on which page.
• Training and Scheduler – the AI learns your content automatically in the background.
• Training Center – see what was learned and fix failed items.
• Dashboard – everything at a glance.

Set up the search

• Search settings – switch AI Search on and choose the answer style.
• Search widget – the look of the search box and button.
• Change the widget position – move the search button to another corner or side, for desktop and mobile (Search → Widget).
• Example questions – clickable questions for visitors.
• External Embed – show AI Search on another website.
• AI Search plugin – a search box on one page, with its own settings.
• AI answers in other search extensions – an AI answer above ke_search, indexed_search or Solr results.

Measure and control

• Usage Analytics – what visitors searched and how they rated the answers.
• AI Usage and AI Logs – how much AI was used, and error messages.
• AI Prompts – the tone and style of the answers.
• MCP tools – for teams that work with AI assistants.

System Requirements

• TYPO3 v12, v13 or v14
• PHP 8.2 – 8.5

What else you need These are installed for you with Composer. Without Composer, install them from the T3Planet Shop or the Extension Manager.

• AI Foundation (ns_t3af) – connects TYPO3 to your AI provider.
• AI Chatbot/Search base (ns_t3cs) – the shared backend module.
• License Manager (ns_license) – activates your license.
• Scheduler – TYPO3’s tool for background tasks; it runs the training.
