TYPO3 XLIFF (XML Localization Interchange File Format)
A standard file format used in TYPO3 for managing translations. It stores original and translated text side by side.
T3AL
Short for TYPO3 AI Localization extension. It automates the translation of XLIFF files using AI, reducing manual work.
TYPO3 Extension Manager
A module in TYPO3 where you can install, manage, or update extensions like T3AL.
Crowdin
A localization management platform that helps manage and collaborate on translations. T3AL integrates with Crowdin for seamless synchronization.
Localization
The process of adapting content into different languages and cultures to make it suitable for a specific audience.
Translation Modes
Options provided by T3AL to control how files are translated:
- Translate Entire File: Overwrites everything, even existing translations.
- Translate Missing Content: Only translates the parts that are not yet translated.
Manual Localization
The ability to edit translations by hand, either through a code editor or a visual interface.
Project ID
A unique ID used to connect your TYPO3 extension with your Crowdin project for syncing translations.
Save to Local File System
An option to store translated files directly in your TYPO3 website’s local files.
Save to Local and Crowdin
Saves your translated files both locally and in your Crowdin project for backup and collaboration.
Manual Overrides
Allows you to change AI-generated translations manually to ensure accuracy, tone, and brand consistency.
